I read so many good things about Ojon, especially this restorative treatment. Although I live in Seoul, South Korea and we do not have Ojon available, I really wanted to try it so I got the shampoo, conditioner, and two tubs of treatment delivered to me here!First off, I tried the shampoo and conditioner--AMAZING! I could instantly feel a difference in the shower after using just the shampoo. The conditioner was thick and creamy, I left it on for about 5-7 minutes and then rinsed it out. My hair felt velvety smooth and the next day when I styled it it was bouncier and shinier. I could totally feel the difference. So the next night I was really anxious to try the highly acclaimed restortaive treatment! The directions aren't so clear (as to if it is a pre-shampoo treatment, it just says to put it on dry hair...) so I put it on my dry unwashed hair starting from the ends. It was neat to see it melt with the heat of my hands and so I sectioned off my hair into fours... I applied the treatment and left it in overnight, the first time. It was okay at first, but I noticed my hair felt very dry, like an old wig. This last time, I applied it and put a plastic cap on, and the same thing happened. So, I guess this treatment women are raving about (as in all things), doesn't work for every one. It felt great while I had it on, but when according to directions I shampooed it out, I can see it doesn't work for me. I've used this product for years and still love it. I've always put it in my hair before bedtime but when I got married, my husband couldn't stand the smell full strength, although he loved the smell of my hair after washing it (I also use the Ojon shampoo and conditioner, same scent). I have long, thick, course, wavy hair, which means incredibly frizzy if left to it's own devices and nothing else works like this stuff does. I've tried coconut oil, expensive olive oil, creams, foams, you name it. This stuff is still the best! Now I just put it on before a shower for a few minutes because I won't give this up. Oh, and yes it's overpriced, I completely agree with that, but you have to splurge on something! |
