(Health and Beauty) Scam! I ordered this product because it's specifically advertized as Pantene Pro-V Dry to Moisturized, I do not like new formula of the shampoo. I received Pantene Pro-V Moisture Renewal, not Pantene Pro-V Dry to Moisturized which I can buy at any store. I wrote letter to them about this issue and they never responded!!! So, I basically paid shipping for nothing, and plus now I have two bottles of shampoo which I do not like :(Do not buy if you look for old formula of Pantene. (Health and Beauty) I reviewed this product as part of the Amazon VINEs program, where only the Dry Hair formula was available. I have curly hair that is oily rather than dry, so I didn't expect this product to be optimal for me. The manufacturer recommends using both the shampoo and the conditioner, but I only had the shampoo for review. It did a modest job of cleaning my hair (again, it's intended for dry-normal hair, which I do not have). I used regular conditioner afterward, and still saw noticeable results. The product appears to work best if used for 2-3 days in a row. The results of alternating use with other shampoos doesn't produce the same results. It quieted the curl in my hair-- not removing it, but softening it-- without leaving heavy residue as anti-curl styling products do. I was only able to test it during the dry summer months of Sacramento, so I can't tell how well it combats frizz from higher humidity. Overall, I think this would work really... For example, we normally get about 50 inches of precipitation but in the last 12 months, we have had 62 inches. It feels like it rains all the time now. When it is humid, my curly hair seems to go anywhere that it wants to go. The new Pantine curly hair conditioner and shampoo has tamed my hair in high humidity. It stays where it should without sticking out in all directions. The hair has also become softer. I do not know how they do it, but this product does work. The plastic bottles are neatly designed. The Aphogee Deep Moisture Shampoo replaced my Biolage Hydratherapie Shampoo. This shampoo ranks number 1 on my list, number 2 being Cream of Nature Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo (only because it comes in a bigger bottle which is better for dorm life). It feels like I'm washing my hair with conditioner. It also has a pleasant smell to it. My only issue is that it doesn't come in a big 20oz. This reason why I picked this shampoo over the one for Damaged Hair(also by Aphogee) is due to the lack of protein. You have to by careful of having protein overload in your hair regimen. BTW I'm a black woman with coarse relaxed hair. My hair feels so clean afterward, but during the process, it's fun because it feels so luxurious and it smells really great. Ive had bad experiences with shampoo drying out my hair, even natural shampoos like Komazaa care's, but I cant wait to use this shampoo whenever its time to wash my hair, and Im pretty sure Im going to be using this one from now on. It really does seem to enliven my dry, dull hair, and I think this is good for people with treated or natural hair; I myself have unpermed or relaxed hair, I just wash and flat iron, but for permed hair I think it would be good for its moisturizing affects. The double pack aspect is really good value as well. The product lasts for a while, but is not a super strong hold without using a large amount. Overall if your looking for a medium hold and a matte finish this is the product for you. Use it with dry hair for best texture effects, but recently towel dryed hair for the best shape. The one thing I did not like about it was that, unless I used a really small amount, it made my hair feel greasy and/or gave me 'bullet head'. So, when I finally used up the last of a container that was several years old, I looked around for an alternative. After reading the reviews on Amazon, I decided to try the Forming Cream, instead. Boy, am I glad I did. For me, this is a MUCH better product. It provides great hold with no added shine, it is much easier to work with, and the results, while still keeping my hair neat all day, look more natural.
