I purchased 2 large bottles of this conditioner and a large bottle of shampoo --over $150! -- and these products are definitely not the real thing. They are fake. My suspicions were confirmed when I called the company and they told me that the serial numbers stamped on the bottom were not their serial numbers. It is too late for me to get my money back. It's not too late for you, though. Please, if you want this shampoo & conditioner, buy it in a salon, which will guarantee them.

I'd give the real thing 5 stars, hands down, but this isn't it. Be careful!

I was using Kerastase, which is a great product, but not great on the budget. My colorist is one of the best there is (she does hair for Reese Whitherspoon, Heidi Klum, Kate Winslet, Brad Pitt, Sienna Miller, Raquel Welch, the Olson's, etc, etc, etc and has written her own book). She recommended this product for me as an alternative. It works very well smoothing the hair, but not weighing it down and leaves it shinny. It's also easier on the budget. I like to buy the professional size as I have to buy it less often and save $. The conditioner is also great; a little goes a long way.

I also reviewed the conditioner for this line and had nothing but good things to say - the same holds true for the shampoo. This shampoo and its conditioner are a perfect pair. If you want finer, smoother hair; if you want to actually change the TEXTURE of your hair, you will NOT be disappointed. This shampoo is a bit pricey but it will last you over a year, and is for someone who really wants to nourish and change their hair. I also love the fresh, clean, grapefruit-ey scent.

Like most people with curly hair, I've found that--unlike what people with straight hair think--we have to work to try to get that magazine-look. How many times has someone come up to you and said, "your hair looks really good today; you should wear it like that all the time." And you're thinking, "I DO wear it like this all the time--just sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!"
I have really fine, no body, dry hair that has various textures all over--some really curly but fuzzy, some with almost no curl. And all I want is defined, consistant curls with body, without any crunchy or sticky feeling. Re:coil is a great product to get there!
I had read a bunch of reviews and they were somewhat mixed, but I thought I'd give it a try. You need VERY little product, and you run it through your hair right after a shower when it's still sopping wet. Then I put it in one of those absorbant towels for a few minutes and then shake my head upside down and let my hair air dry... Read more

It's a funny thing. I had a tube of this at my house for months before I used it. I wasn't sure HOW to best use it, so I read suggestions over at CurlTalk and CurlMart on application. It said use a leave-in, and I hadn't found a leave-in I loved, so I kept putting off trying it.

But then I switched hairdressers and that one used the Re:coil line. She used AG FAST FOOD leave-in condish and then THIS and I had TERRIFIC non-frizzy curls after part-diffusing by stylist and the rest drying in the car on the way home.

I experimented on my own and got better results than even the stylist. I will say this does it's best work OVER a leave-in condish (I've used AG's, Curl Junkie, Abba Pure Gentle, and they all have worked fine). You can put it on very wet hair for bigger clumps, scrunching it in upside down.. You can rake it in or Denman brush it in then scrunch for smaller clumps and more volume.
