People may not associate humidity with New York, but it has become extra rainy in the last few years. For example, we normally get about 50 inches of precipitation but in the last 12 months, we have had 62 inches. It feels like it rains all the time now.

When it is humid, my curly hair seems to go anywhere that it wants to go. The new Pantine curly hair conditioner and shampoo has tamed my hair in high humidity. It stays where it should without sticking out in all directions. The hair has also become softer. I do not know how they do it, but this product does work.

The plastic bottles are neatly designed. They have flat caps on top, so you can keep them upside down. This will be a convenient feature to use when they are getting to be near empty. The shampoo comes in 12.6 ounce and 25.4 ounce bottles. The conditioner also comes in 12.6 ounce and 25.4 ounce bottles. The larger bottles are a better buy per ounce than the smaller ones.

I really enjoyed using this conditioner. I have somewhat tight spiral curls somewhere in the 3b-c area, and this conditioner added a lot of slip, and made detangling very easy, and moisturized my hair nicely. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because this conditioner made the gel that I use very flaky. I use a natural styling gel in addition to leaving a bit of conditioner in my hair as a leave-in, and experienced some very bad flaking of the gel, because of the silicone in this conditioner. If you plan to use this conditioner as a leave-in, either use it without gel, or rinse it thoroughly, and use gel with a silicone-free conditioner, or just gel by itself. I have recently decided to stop using silicones in my hair, so I won't be buying this conditioner anymore, buy I would recommend it to people with dry, curly hair.

It has a creamy, thick-ish consistency, and a great smell.

We've been using this shampoo along with the conditioner for over a year. It was the best we had ever tried! Unfortunately, the last two times we've ordered it from amazon (and the last time we bought it from a local store) the shampoo has been a yellow color (which, if you have bought this in the past, you know should be much closer to a clear color), very watery, smelly, and no longer even cleans the hair. I use it and my hair ends up dull, dark, and dirty.

I have no idea what happened. I've emailed Giovanni Cosmetics to ask them if they changed the ingredients, but have yet to hear back from them.

In any case, how disappointing! :(

I love tea tree oil -- how it smells, how it feels, how it wakes me up in the morning. And for an SLS-free shampoo, this one has a good consistency and doesn't drip off my hand on the way to my hair (Burt's Bees).

Unfortunately, after using it for a few weeks I noticed that I had a lot more very damaged hair -- those coarse curly ones that remind me of ribbon after it's been curled along the edge of a scissor blade. My boyfriend used it too, and his barber asked him what he was doing to cause the sudden outbreak of split ends. We both have fairly dry hair, but it's of the fine and straight variety, not naturally prone to frizz or excessive split ends at all.

I've since been on a search for an SLS-free shampoo that retains the good qualities of this one without damaging my hair -- no luck yet, but I'm sure I won't return to the Giovanni.

I think that Giovanni has grown in popularity because it's widely available at Wal-mart and Target for a reasonable price. Unlike other organic hair products it doesn't cost $8 to $20 a bottle. This high demand, I think, has caused them to cut corners on the formula. I used to use this product a good deal last year and it left my hair clean and soft. Also, it used to be clear. I agree with the other reviewer that noticed that it is now yellow. I just used the Giovanni Tea Tree Shampoo last week and my hair was dull and frizzy. Also, the ends looked ruffled. I have kinky, curly 3c hair.

On top of that, this shampoo seems too harsh. If any accidentally drips into my eyes, it stings horribly and has me scrambling for a towel before I'm done! I switched back to my Shikai shampoo and my hair is back to being shiny, soft, curly and frizz-free after using it. I won't be using Tea Tree Triple Threat again. I am a woman of mixed ethnicities and because of this, I have mixed hair as well. My hair is a combination of wavy,straight and curly. Mostly wavy and curly. And when my hair gets dry it gets REAL DRY.When it gets frizzy it gets REAL FRIZZY, plus it has plenty of split ends. I have dyed my hair in the past several times and that also has contributed to breakage and dryness. I have used all kinds of products and Organic Root stimulator Olive Oil hair lotion is the best most penetrating hair lotion I have ever used.

Nothing compares to using real olive oil, but this is a styling lotion and it works extremely well, if not the same. It has other moisturizing oils in it as well as coconut oil, peanut oil and vegetable oil.

I strongly recommend using it right after you have just washed your hair and your hair is completely damp. I have found the best results doing it this way and then wrapping it with a towel. Afterwards it is very easy to style and stays moisturized... Read more

I'm a white girl who swears by this stuff :) Let's face it, dry hair is dry hair, and this stuff will quench it fast! I have hair that's been killed by coloring, and this lotion tames the frizzies and makes it feel so lush and healthy. A little goes a long way so you can't beat this at five bucks, what a bargain!

Another white girl chiming in here - my hair was suffering greatly from my swimming 3x per week... This is the ONLY product that I've used (before and after each swimming session) that keeps my hair looking and feeling healthy and beautiful...
